I am thrilled to welcome you all to Season 2 of Signature Concoctions!
Yes! It has been one year since I started this blog, and I can’t believe I am still around! Time sure flies… I still remember how my decision to write was a spur of a moment urge to share my passion for cooking, my culinary adventures in my kitchen and all my signature recipes running around in my head. I still chuckle when I think about it; “What was I thinking? How did it all happen?!” – I really don’t know but I’m really glad it did 🙂
I have learnt so much in this last year! I kept myself busy in the kitchen whipping up all kinds of concoctions – from breakfasts to dinners and everything in between; especially – comfort meals, curries, jhatpat subzis, simply delicioso mexican food, thai dinners and most importantly food for my little sous chef. My blog is not just about food and cooking; it is about sharing it with friends and family; and the stories, the memories, the traditions, the rituals, the explorations, the seasons – all the spices of life that flavor my food.
So the journey so far: I took my readers on a worldwide foodie tour from Malvan to Montréal. Then, I decided to give a couple of make overs; one to my website and another to everyday food and .. ooooh yes… not to forget, my very own Spring Fashion Show. While I was cooking and writing about food, I realized I needed good pictures to really cut it. My husband, throwing money at the problem, got me an expensive DSLR, but it was up to me to sharpen my photography skills. All my food styling and food photography self study paid off when my Easter Breakfast photoshoot was all the internet rage. The season ended with a blast with cameos from some of my friends. So in season 2, stay tuned for all of this and more …. coming soon to a browser near you!
Lastly and most importantly, it seems I connect with so many of you; people all over the world who read SC and share in my passion for food; to whom I am very thankful for visiting my site, becoming fans and encouraging me day after day. Please keep reading, commenting and giving me feedback, it keeps me cooking, clicking and concocting!
